message=Everyday Misery Bus (An Ode to Leo)

Tell Billy Strayhorne to
take the everyday misery bus
straight to my hive:
We’ll get lunch 
I’ll show him the network 
and his cubicle.
Then we can get to work.
He will write the music and
I’ll handle the words.
He’ll sleep in, miss our 
performances. But in his name
and mine, my note by his note,
we can create extra symphony
that will necessitate the speakers
that we’ll install on the
everyday misery bus…
when we have a chance.
